Help Is Here: Free Groceries for Needy Families in Warwick Township
If you or a neighbor could use a little help with groceries, New Britain Food Pantry is here for you, now at a new home at 3400 Pickertown Road in Chalfont (Warrington Township), PA 18914.
Despite its name, the pantry isn’t just for New Britain. Since 1991, this volunteer-run nonprofit has served neighbors facing food insecurity throughout the Central Bucks and New Hope-Solebury School Districts, including residents of Warwick Township.
Pantry hours
Monday and Wednesday, 8 a.m. to noon, and Thursday, 5 to 7 p.m. Families may visit up to twice a month.
What to expect on your first visit
Park in the main lot and follow the signs to the side entrance. Bring proof that you live in the Central Bucks or New Hope-Solebury School District and fill out a short form. Then you shop, choosing what your family needs. Please bring your own grocery bags.
Each visit includes 7 to 10 days of groceries: frozen beef, pork or chicken; eggs, butter and cheese; fresh produce; pantry staples; and paper products. Personal care items are offered every other month and laundry detergent every three months, when available. You can preview the check-in form and shopping list at newbritainfoodpantry.org/get-food.
