Public Works Maintenance Laborer

Warwick Township, Bucks County, is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, non-exempt Public Works Maintenance Laborer position. This position includes occasional overtime.

The successful candidate must possess a high school diploma, trade school diploma, or equivalent; a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license; a clean driving record; and the ability to obtain and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Candidates who do not currently possess a CDL are encouraged to apply, as the Township will provide the necessary training and testing.

This position involves primarily outdoor work and is responsible for the maintenance and repair of Township-owned buildings and facilities, parks, open spaces, recreational structures, roads, bridges, rights-of-way, and grounds.

Candidates should have knowledge of and the ability to safely operate Township-owned vehicles and equipment, including dump trucks, backhoes, snowplows, salt spreaders, power tools, chainsaws, air compressors, and similar equipment. Applicants should possess experience performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks. Prior construction, maintenance, and/or trade experience is preferred.

Applicants must be physically capable of performing strenuous work in a variety of weather conditions, including during storm events, emergency responses, and snow and ice removal operations, which may require extended work hours. Evening, weekend, and holiday on-call duty is occasionally required.

Warwick Township offers an excellent benefits package. This is a bargaining unit position with a starting wage of $26.00 per hour.
