Permit/Inspection Services Reopening – May 1st

With construction being permitted to resume May 1st the Township will begin issuing permits, once again, on Friday. Prior to permit release, contractors will need to certify, by signing a document which will be provided by the Township, that work will commence under the guidelines issued April 23rd, 2020 by the Commonwealth. Permits will not be issued without this certification executed. Those who received a letter of approval will be contacted by the Township with a permit fee and certification which is required for issuance. Permit submissions will continue to be submitted via mail or drop box until the building re-opens to the public.

Inspections for new construction will commence on Friday with all other inspections being scheduled for Monday, May 4th and beyond. Inspections will take place strictly following the guidance issued April 23rd, 2020 by the Commonwealth. This includes wearing masks, maintaining proper social distancing of 6 feet and limiting the number of people on site.

U&O inspections will resume Monday, May 4th with applications settling first receiving inspections first. Those properties which received Temporary Certificates of Occupancy as a result of COVID-19 orders will be followed up with in the weeks to come. Inspections will commence taking all required safety precautions including wearing masks, maintaining proper social distancing of 6 feet and limiting individual interactions.

If you need further clarification, have questions or comments please e-mail kbeach@warwick-township.org or contact the Township office at 215-343-6100. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work towards operating in full capacity.

Coronavirus Recommendations from the CDC

The CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health both emphasize that the best way to prevent the spread of coronavirus is to practice these good health habits:

  • Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects daily.
